LOOK BOOK: Current/Elliott Fall 2011

Here is the new Fall 2011 collection by Current/Elliott. It’s a always a joy seeing what new washes they come out with. They have some amazing ones. The line looks to be inspired by the old western theater and features some new styles, as well as washes. They have a two-tone banded skirt as you can see above. They also have a style that has buttons going up the front, as well as some cords that is quite nice. There are also some new jackets this season. They have the classic leather motorcycle and a tux inspired denim one.

They also have their classics, like the skinnies and flares. They have their Stiletto Skinny jeans in Rodeo Red, which is great. They are a red washed denim with gold stitching. They are modern yet still have the vintage soul with the stitching. They also have some great new washes for the flares, such as some distressed ones and a worn in blue. The Tux Trousers are great, the way they fit on the model is lovely. The whole feel of the shoot has something mystical and magical about it with all the smoke and hats. New Style by Current/Elliott

This isn’t a new style, but it is a new wash for “The Cardigan” by Current/Elliott. This one comes in a dark blue wash with gold trimming on it. There is something that I find classic about this jacket. It does not look dated and I find it to be very versatile, much like a Chanel jacket. I also like that the edges were left unfinished. It just gives them a bit more edge. I’m sure the ladies will love this one just like the previous one in gray. Click here to purchase this jacket at FarFetch.

LOOK BOOK: Current/Elliott Spring/Summer 2011

Here is a look at the new Spring/Summer 2011 collection by Current/Elliott. The Spring Collection is inspired by the ’50s housewife. There are many flirty looks in this collection. They also brought back the stripes as well. These are bit different than their Hickory ones. The fit is still similar (a baggy style), but these have visible button-fly detailing. They also have many dresses and shirts this season. The pencil skirts have exposed buttoning going up the front. They featured some new denim shirts and a striped denim blazer too.

For the Summer collection, the boyscout was the inspiration. They have a pair of red denim just like Spring, but instead these are baggy so they can allow some breathing room for the summer. They also have something that we don’t really see too much, the skirt overall.

New Style by Current/Elliott

Here is a new style by Current/Elliott. It is their new Cropped Leather Zip Flare. Zipped up they are a cropped leather skinny jean and unzipped they become a cropped flare.

There is something about this style that really interests me. Truthfully, at first I was a bit iffy when I heard about them, but I quite like them. Maybe it was the thought that they zipped out into a full length flare at first, but they don’t. They stay cropped. I can see someone like Gwyneth Paltrow, Cheryl Cole, or Rihanna rocking this new edgier style.
